Maple Glazed Lady Laurier

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Lady Laurier D'Arthabaska Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 50 g Walnuts (chopped)
  • 100 g Granny Smith Apple (diced)
  • 25 g Sundried Cranberries
  • 50 g Dried Figs (chopped)
  • 1 sprigThyme (fresh)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the wheel of Lady Laurier on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until softened. Allow the cheese to cool for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat maple syrup, brown sugar, diced apples, and cinnamon over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the apples soften. Mix in walnuts, cranberries, and figs.
  4. Position the wheel of Lady Laurier on your serving platter, then pour the warm syrup mixture over it.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and a few leaves.
  6. Serve immediately with breads and crackers.
