There’s nothing more nostalgic than eggnog. Often used to craft seasonal cocktails, eggnog can also be used as a sweet sauce base, adding festive flavour to your holiday dessert menu!
To create eggnog caramel, combine whipping cream, brown sugar, and eggnog, to a saucepan with melted butter. Wisk while cooking, then add vanilla extract, salt and warm holiday spices. Refrigerate before use. It can be stored covered and refrigerated for 3 to 4 days.
Go one step beyond: To further elevate your eggnog caramel, add dark rum.
