Ricotta Milkshake with Crispy Cinnamon Donut Crumble

This milkshake takes decadence in a new direction by swapping out ice cream with velvety ricotta. The result? A luscious treat that's both refreshing and uniquely satisfying. Topped with crispy yet fluffy donut crumbles, it's a textural delight that will have your patrons coming back for more.

Ingredients

Donuts

  • As needed Plain donuts

Cinnamon Sugar

  • 200 ml Sugar, granulated
  • 15 ml Cinnamon

Milkshake

  • 200 ml Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 75 ml Whole Milk
  • 100 ml Ricotta Cheese
  • 10 ml Cocoa Powder
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon

Whipped Cream

  • 200 ml Whipping Cream
  • 15 ml Sugar, powdered
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract

 

Directions

  1. For the whipped cream: whisk whipping cream and sugar until it forms firm peaks, gently stir the vanilla and store in the fridge until needed.
  2. For the milkshake: add the ice cream, milk, ricotta, cocoa, vanilla, and cinnamon to a blender. Pulse a few times until it just comes together.  Pour into a milkshake glass and top with a generous scoop of whipped cream, then sprinkle with crispy fried donut bits and a little more of the cinnamon sugar.
