Detroit-Style All Dressed Pizza

A motor-city favourite that Canadians will love. This rectangular pizza marvel features a thick, chewy Detroit-style crust and a robust mix of toppings. Drawing inspiration from Detroit’s pizza tradition, we have crafted this pizza with our 20% Pizza Mozzarella Cheese Shred, Brick Cheese Shred, zesty pizza sauce, cupped pepperoni, chopped bacon, and savoury sausage. Ideal for big appetites and perfect for adding a hearty option to your menu, it is the go-to choice for a crowd-pleasing meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 each Detroit-Style Pizza Dough Ball
  • 200 ml Pizza Sauce
  • 150 g 20% Pizza Mozzarella Cheese Shred
  • 150 g Brick Cheese Shred
  • 100 g Pepperoni Cups
  • 100 g Bacon, cooked & chopped
  • 100 g Sausage, cooked & crumbled

Directions

  1. For the crust: On a floured surface, gently stretch the dough into a large rectangular shape, ensuring it is about 2.5 cm thick with slightly rounded corners.
  2. Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined sheet pan and create dimples all over the dough with your fingers to capture bubbles and create a light texture. Brush the entire surface with olive oil.
  3. Bake the dough for approximately 18 minutes, adjusting as needed based on your oven. Halfway through, use a knife to deflate any bubbles and ensure even cooking until the dough turns lightly golden.
  4. Allow the baked dough to cool to room temperature.
  5. For the pizza: Evenly spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 2 cm border around the edge.
  6. Cover the dough with a mixture of Pizza Mozzarella and Brick Cheese, then add your desired toppings.
  7. Bake until fully cooked; timing may vary based on oven type, but remember that the crust is already baked, and you only need to melt the cheese.
  8. Once done, slice into squares and serve.
