Kale Chicken Caesar Pizza

This inspiration is an irresistible comfort food mash-up that takes the classic chicken Caesar to tasty new heights!

According to the Technomic Ignite Menu Insights of 2022, Haloumi is among the top 3 fastest-growing cheeses on Canadian menus. It works especially well on pizza because it doesn’t melt adding a unique texture with every bite! Pine nuts and lemon are also trending on menus, adding a zesty bite to the garlic cream sauce base and salty Haloumi cheese.

Spread garlic cream sauce over the pizza dough and evenly top with thin slices of cooked chicken breast and Pizza Mozzarella cheese shred. Arrange small cubes of grilled Haloumi cheese on the pizza and bake until the crust is bubbling. Garnish with toasted pine nuts, kale chips and shaved Parmesan cheese, then place a seared half lemon at the center of the pie.

To take it a step further: To make kale chips, coat bite-sized kale leaves with olive oil and a pinch of salt, then bake on a parchment-lined sheet until crisp and lightly browned.

For easy prep, grill thick slices of Haloumi cheese before cutting into cubes. When toasting the pine nuts, keep the dry skillet on medium-low heat and toss them often, as they tend to burn easily.
