Tempeh Poutine

Tempeh, the super healthy protein made from soybeans, brings a mild nutty flavour that gets a delightful boost from our squeaky cheese curds and warm gravy. It’s a flavour party that hits all the right dining trends and is here to stay!

Ingredients

  • 125 ml Poutine Gravy

  • 100 gr Cheese Curds

  • 250 gr Tempeh

  • 1 each Egg, beaten

  • As needed AP Flour

  • 100 gr Sourdough Breadcrumbs

  • Pinch Green Onions, bias cut

     

Directions

  1. Slice the tempeh into French fry shapes, then dredge with flour.
  2. Dip each fry into the whipped eggs, then coat in the sourdough breadcrumbs.
  3. Deep fry until golden brown and crispy; once done, toss in a bowl with the cheese curds.
  4. Plate in a serving bowl and top with hot gravy and green onions.
  5. Serve immediately.
